Just a few of the places and things we love in East Tennessee:

  • ConcertWire (A one-stop calendar for all your live entertainment needs.)
  • The “Lucy” Roll @ Lemon Grass (You can eat it in Knoxville or Maryville, either way it rocks.)
  • Regal Riviera Theatre (A downtown gem, without much of the pretentiousness of the West.)
  • The “UT” Roll @ Wasabi (Where most of our current sushi obsession stems.)
  • Lunch Box Add-Ons @ Nama Downtown ($2.00 extra adds the side salad and soup.  YUM!)
  • Garlic Rolls, Salad & Fried Tortelini Appetizers @ Altruda’s (Divine Italian fare.)
  • Bob Becker (The happiest weather man in the world or at least East Tennessee.)
  • Crown & Goose Gastropub (Slow service and a bit pricey, but great pints, good food and a lot like dining in Europe…it’s an event, not fast food.)
  • Frussie’s Deli & Sandwich Shop (In Moody Complex on Moody Street in South Knoxville…after eating their you won’t feel nearly as moody and your complex will be satiated at least for a little while).
  • Tomo Northside!  (Amen for sushi in North Knoxville/Fountain City…glorious, now if we could get some damn fine Chinese takeout, I’d be happy as a clam.)
  • Golden Garden (Thanks to Please Feed the Monkeys, this is our favorite local/area/family-owned Chinese Restaurant…it’s so good, you’ll find yourself craving it.)
  • Mini-Cupcakes from MagPies (Now closer to us on Central Avenue, this is our choice for best bakery by far…and the cupcakes are divine and so petite you don’t feel like you’ve blown your diet.)
  • VIBE Salon (The best place to get your hair did, bar none.  I literally get stopped at least 3 times a week by random strangers asking about my hair color and raving…I tell them go see Michael.)
  • Taj is my choice for Indian Food in Knoxville.  While I have a few friends who are devotees of Sitar (almost weekly), I like the feel of Taj and I prefer to order and receive an order rather than bust my britches with a buffet (oooh, alliteration…I love it).
