How can you tell someone has the flu? Well, I’m sitting here doing clinical notes and watching The Jazz Singer on TV (not the Al Jolson version), but the wonderfully and slightly-kitschy film featuring Neil Diamond. I love it. It’s a slice of my childhood since my Dad was once a huge Neil Diamond fan; trust me, I enjoyed that fandom much more than his love of Richard Clayderman. Yikes! However it brings me to an observation I’ve held for about a year. I don’t know much about the teen phenoms “The Jonas Brothers”, but I have to wonder if they are the love-children of Neil and Lucy from the Jazz Singer. I mean, look at the similarities…uncanny no?
I mean please humor me here….

And I love your responses to the fans. I had a similar situation with a Twilight film review over at my blog. Girls swooning over Robert Pattinson & Jackson Rathbone as if they had written my blog, or read it regularly.
They do provide for amusing reads I have to admit!
And I leave here, wondering if a mention of the Jonas Brothers would bring my blog a few more visitors and a few fun mindless comments? I’m sure it would.

I appreciate the kind comments and I cannot hazard a guess at the amount of loyal Twilight swoonies that descended upon your blog. It’s amazing. I used to feel the same way about INXS (I was determined to marry the drummer, Jon Farris), when I was like 13. So I understand where this silliness comes from and I want to give them the face time if for some reason one of the Jonas boys does happen to stumble upon my blog.

Why is this the worst blog you’ve ever seen, because it’s not a shrine to a band you love? I wrote 1 post about how I though the J Bros looked a lot like Neil Diamond, that’s it. I’ve approved everyone’s messages because frankly, they’re allowed to be fans of the JBros because when I was young, I had the same feelings about bands and such. This blog is really only a blog intended mostly for my family and friends to read. Unfortunately, I chose a picture of the J Bros that seems to bring a lot of people here, that was unintentional. I don’t think it’s appropriate to curse on someone else’s blog when frankly, even if I do comment “wow” on how amazing these young fan’s fandom can be or the fact that frankly, the J Bros probably aren’t fluent in Spanish – I am allowed to because this is my space and you chose to visit it. I didn’t ask you to. Attacking via the internet is uncalled for, and I’m happy to have your email address because I can report this if I choose. Reality is, I’m glad you love the J Bros, it’s all good but frankly if the fans had just visited to look at the picture and didn’t leave their comments all the time, I wouldn’t have said a word. In the meantime, I hope that you have a great day and I will happily post your response, because if the J Bros do read this, I want them to know how classy their fanbase is.
