Last night, as I was tooling along the channels on our DirecTV – I came across a documentary on the really neat channel OVATION (which is dedicated to the arts).  So, I hit record and looked forward to watching it tonight.  My husband ran out to hunt/gather at Subway for the illusive $5.00 footlong.  When he returned, he was very curious about what I was watching.  ”A documentary on Aaron Copeland…I really like him.”  My hubby’s jaw dropped and he asked, “Do you know I’ve been listening to Aaron Copeland for the past week or so – and I’ve just bought a bunch of his music.”  I had NO idea.  None.  So we watched the rest together and I was impressed that after almost 7 years of marriage there is still symbiosis.  Gotta love him.

As a token of my esteem…here’s a performance of “Fanfare for the Common Man”…enjoy.

BUSY.

That’s it in a nutshell…but for those of you who’ve been wondering here’s a quick bullet point list:

  • I left my position with CFT and moved to WME and I feel really good about the change!
  • We saw Tropic Thunder 2 times and LOVED IT, but it’s so politically incorrect it’s not for everyone.
  • I had a mini-freak out which has resulted in me starting to get healthier everyday…that’s good.
  • I learned that people are delusional and that I don’t like people who can’t accept a critique with dignity and honesty.
  • I’ve spent 2 weeks in Nashville (with a week in Knoxville in between), training with the new company.
  • I found out that I like working for a private-sector company that has a vision in non-profit-care.
  • Jim and I had a BLAST at the Tennessee Valley Fair twice, with our dear friends.
  • I learned that eating too much is not a good thing at said fair.
  • Jim continues to plug away at his job.
  • Our home repairs were completed and we love our new home theatre room!!!!  Yippie!
  • I’m pulling out of my fog and I’m pretty glad about that.
So, that’s some of the high points…I’m getting back into my blog life and need to be more consistent.  Thanks for being patient as I continue to climb out of my self-imposed hole.  Things are looking up and I am hopeful, even if the economy is unstable and gas prices/availability are going wacky.

Welcome To Our “Home”

Okay, so it sounds more elaborate than it really is right? This is our little slice of internet nonsense, which basically is our on-going effort to keep our friends and family up-to-date on our lives, our love and our continuing pursuit of pomegranates. In this modern age of movement, we’ve realized that distance is not an excuse to not keep everyone posted, so please - stop by anytime - in person or internet-ly and know that you are all never far from our thoughts.
